We all go through excruciatingly difficult times in our life. At times, they are so trying that we wonder if we ever make it. I just wish I were there to comfort you a bit. But it seems that our short meeting was only meant to make us friends… which hopefully will last us a lifetime. Now, that’s a wonderful thought.

Some days will be really dark; some days better. Some days are terrible; some days less terrible but through it all, we need the love and support of our family and closest friends to see us through.

There will be waves. Waves of loneliness when we feel pain and loss the most; followed by waves of wellness when we feel we are doing better and well onto the road to recovery, only to repeat the cycle of loneliness again. It won’t be easy. Just trust and be comforted by the thought that “This, too, will pass”.

It will also help if you write. Write in your private journal. Write to the universe through a blog site. You may or may not publish it. What’s important is you are able to ventilate. Revisit writing.

Let me end with some choice lines from Desiderata:

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

Yes Daisy, be gentle with yourself. Keep peace with your soul.

Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
